We've been to this place terrace to assist a private event. The food and drinks served was correct. The staff was a bit rude to some people next to us what was really unpleasant. The terrace has a nice view to Passeig de Gracia and the location is ideal.

This hotel have an elegant mediterranian food, a cafetery and a modern jazz bar. There are also 2 more open bars, one of them with a pool. The hotel is luxurious and the service is very good.

All of the hotel staff have been kind, courteous and knowledgeable. The room is great with a gorgeous view and is always clean. The negative is that they come by to clean the room too often! (But we should have put the do not disturb sign on the door).

Since the minute of our arrival to this hotel on Aug. 6 , 2017 afternoon , and while we were still tired from our incoming flight of the morning, we have been subjected to some "harassment" from the part of a female reception employee , who asked us for credit card deposits to be blocked. and was requesting us to pay again for our stay, on and above our credit card advance payment on booking. As a matter of fact, we have paid all our bookings well in advance before travelling , and the money was debited, and the hotel has been clearly paid !!! We showed her a phone message from our bank as an electronic evidence , but the reception employee was still confidently affirming that our cards have not been debited by the hotel!!! We had to call our bank in front of her to confirm that the operation in fact took place, and we also had to log in our account to show her our online bank statement to prove that the debit occurred !!! As we were tired from all this, we asked and were allowed to go to our rooms and settle this later...to our surprise we were not given the rooms requested with street view, but were given lowest rooms on the backyard. We went to the sixth floor to check the "pool" and "gym", and to our surprise (do not believe websites!!!) , the pool was rather a small "basin" , and the gym was rather a minimal "exercise" room!!Upon same day late afternoon visit to reception, and after discussions the female receptionist finally acknowledged receipt of money, and for more assurance we requested a bill proving our payment. Done.Our booking was confirmed by email but not acted upon at the hotel and had no choice to leave as we paid in advance.We were given room cards that needed to be recharged every other day to check if we were always in "good financial standing" with the hotel extras (food/beverages), while we chose having no mini-bar, and were requested paying cash on the spot for all breakfasts, diners, and drinks!!! After 5 days on Aug. 8 afternoon, we were also requested by another female receptionist to sign for our 2 debit receipts, produce the original credit card we paid with for our stay...and also pay a deposit to back up for anything else we may consume (pretending it is hotel policy...which other receptionists forgot to implement) !!! In this hotel do not expect to rest, every once and then , an employee is going to ring your doorbell for services and checking!!!!
The least I can say this is a strange hotel ...Looking forward Aug.14 leaving hotel back home!!! DO NOT GO THERE PLEASE...THERE ARE SO MANY OTHER HOTELS IN BARCELONA...OR JUST TAKE A LUXURY SUITE NEXT TO CASA FUSTER AND TAKE A DEEP RELAXING BREATH!!!

Location wise this hotel is super well placed. Is not right in the center of the city but so close you get anywhere just by walking. The reception and bar have wide tall spaces and the service has been very good. We only had a couple drinks and just a relaxing time, but from the distribution of the space, music and furniture to the service and drinks was a very nice bar. It is obviously not the cheapest place, with most drinks hovering 10€, yet the others factors cover for it.
