Nice place with decent service and good food. I was there for a dinner event and we had steak and mashed potatoes, by the looks of the place, you wouldn't think a steak would be great... More of a wings, nachos, burgers vibe... But the steak was quite good, the entire meal was good. The beer selection was great and the old fashion signature cocktail they had was fantastic. I would refer to this place as an upscale gastro... I was visiting from out of town and had eaten at a lot of 'iconic' places around town, but the food here held it's own.
The reason for the 4 star review and not 5 star review was because of the beer:
1. The beer selection is great... Lots of good choices.
2. They're apparently trained on how to pour a beer, only not trained well... Having tended bar for years, I was surprised to see that my beer can about 1/2 less from the top of the glass. It was a craft beer so I knew they needed to put a head on it, the glass just looked a bit empty. I brought this to the bartender's attention and asked him to put a head on the beer, he persisted to give me a canned response of how the beer was supposed to be poured and blah blah blah... He's not shorting me on beer... I replied that I never said you were shorting me on beer, just pour it right... After explaining to him that there should be "foam" on top, he added the "foam"..... Interesting, I'm guessing they get a lot of people who think they are being shorted on beer... Maybe if they either filled the glass with more liquid, or learned how to put a head on a craft beer, they would not have this problem.

One of my favorite places to eat. Love the atmosphere. They have an excellent Sunday brunch too. Service is always good.

I called ahead and the manager was helpful as I have food allergies, when I got there the staff was great and the food was altered to my request and was Amazing!!!! I was old definitely be back!!!

Good atmosphere, average food but good beer choices. Nice option in an otherwise limited market. Better in winter than in summer.

I've eaten here several times when visiting the Arlington Columbia Pike area. The tavern has a bar atmosphere, but we had children with us and they were very comfortable. The food is good and plentiful. I ordered a bean, cheese, and avocado appetizer that was way too big. It would be nice to have half portions. The service is normally very slow. Our server this time seemed to meander by on occasion without much purpose. The menu is varied and there is a lot to choose from.
