This stream is only 75 m. long, it pours out of the hill side right in front of you. Salmon River after a dry summer.  Atlantic salmon spawned here until about 1840 when all the dams blocked their travels. Wooden Figures This means STOP in Mohawk language.  These are located on side roads, the main road is in English,  see the one by the car.  Airport Road is built on the former Canadian Northern Railway bed built in 1912. The Richmond land fill site is now closed, but busy.  Four universities are researching here.  The chimney burns off the natural gas that the garbage generates.
 
Christ Church, Anglican,  was built in 1843 to replace the original log chapel  built in 1794.  It was built for the Mohawks who arrived from New York state as friends and allies of the British who were also refugees after the American Revolution.  Queen Ann of England donated the Communion Plate in 1812, and King George III donated the  a triptych, a bell and Royal Coat of Arms.  In 1904 King Edward VII gave the title "His Majesty's Chapel". This allegiance is evident from the  flags out front. Presbyterian Church, the Redeemer.  Built by the Rathburn family of Deseronto in 1877 after a devastating fire that destroyed much of the town.  The Rathburns owned a large lumber business, then built the Bay of Quinte Railway to Tamworth, Tweed and Bannockburn.  They operated a large cement works at Marlbank and some manufacturing.   The railway industry grew in the 1880's and was sold to the Canadian Northern Railway in 1914. Goat farm. Recreation trail, remnants of the Bay of Quinte Railway (BoQ) built the Rathburns of Dereronto  in 1881, looking south west to their former lumber and industrial complex that burned down years ago.
