Highly satisfying experience, I went there for my Orthodontal treatment. I got great counselling regarding my treatment I must say. Patients comfort zone is their top priority and they take really good care of you. I must advice everyone to please visit the hospital if you have any dental problem.

Wonderful office. Front office very helpful and dentist very knowledgeable. Not nervous at all and made to feel very comfortable, treatment that I needed was explained in detail and scheduling was no problem. I would definitely recommend this office!

My wife and I have been going to this office for several years, and the service we receive is the best. The doctor is not pushy like some dentists wanting to just use up your insurance money every year with unneeded procedures. Everyone is friendly and warm even when we had a billing issue they took care of us without any frustration. So if you have a problem there it might be you.

Dr. Kleitches is a great dentist and also runs a GREAT dental office. His office offers state of the art holistic equipment, very comfortable and super clean. I am so glad that I found him and the team. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient, kind and his prices are fair. Highly recommended.!!

Dr. Kleitches Office, Columbia Dental Care, performed dental work for me on 4 seperate occasions. There filing practices were unorganized, my records constantly "lost", and they failed to abide by the contract rates agreed upon with my insurance providers. My primary insurance, GEHA Dental, listed them as the only provider in my PPO network so I wasn't left with much choice to go elsewhere. Dr. Kleitches would not file secondary insurance, so I was required to pay the difference of my primary insurance coverage at each office visit, which I would later found out was too much, and that Dr. Kleitches was not honoring the GEHA contract rate.

I had trusted Dr. Kleitches in good faith when paying on checkout that they were charging me the difference between GEHA's percentage of allowable rates and my remaining percentage. Instead I was being charged the difference between GEHA's allowable rate and the Dental Office's arbitrary rate.

This led to another major issue with my secondary insurance. Since they had been filing my bills with full and not contract rates, my acount with them was always in the negative. After they recieved my secondary insurance checks (which should have gone to me for reimbursement), they would deduct my negative balance before sending me the remainder. To put it simply, if their rate was $120 but GEHA contract was 80% of $100, I paid 20% or $20, but was given a negative balance of $20 on their books. When my secondary sent them a check of $20 to reimburse me, they kept it and I got nothing. After four visits, the outstanding amount due to me is roughly $300.

I have discussed this with Dr. Kleitches staff, who seem to have a higher than normal turn-over rate, to no avail. One "new hire" even told me that Dr. Kleithces fired most of his staff and that most patients files were incorrect for one reason or another. I made an exhausted attempt to contact Dr. Kleitches by phone and discuss the issue but was unanswered or avoided. When I attempted to discuss it while visiting his office, he refused to leave his desk and told his secretary that he would not discuss the matter.

I contact both insurance companies for guidance as well. From their perspective, they met their obligations, and the rest is a civil matter. Both insurance companies also suggested I get a lawyer and/or contact the Better Business Bureau. I'm not a lawyer, but it seems like a common sense case. Dr. Kleitches is breaking a legal contract.

It seems that Dr. Kleitches may only respond to organizations such as yours, or to the South Carolina court system. I am willing to provide as much information as possible to ensure that this issue is resolved and that other patients of Dr. Kleitches aren't being illegally overcharged as well.

The amount I have been charged above the GEHA contract dental services rate. Approx. $300.
