Not a great experience. Went to order a beer in the bar, the barmen said the barrel was empty, he asked a colleague to change it and he said 'No'. Mentioned to the management and got treated to 2 free drinks. The evening barman was excellent and he chatted withus for ages. The room was very basic, but is in a very good location.

Excellent location for tourist for Bath or visitor to Bath University. The room facility is old but reasonable for the low room rate. Nice breakfast is also provided. Good choice for budget travellers prefer a private room in good location.

Room was small and really in need of refurbishment. Hygiene of the bathroom was bad. But the bed was pretty ok. Prices more or less reasonable compared to the rest of the city. In itself though prices were rather steep in relation to size and quality. The 3 stars are purely for the kindness and helpfullness of the personnel and the location in the centre.

I was in utter shock when I arrived. Firstly the room was small and even on a mild day the room got very stuffy. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls, chunks were missing from the walls, blood spatters, marks and scuffs everywhere. The door did not fit the frame so all the noise from other residents flowed through underneath the gap. The hairdryer that was given to us by the reception staff sparked and started smoking in my hand. The breakfast was substandard and only available from 8:15 - 9:30am at the weekend plus it was difficult to find a clean spoon and bowl. Please do not be drawn in by its location. Bath is a small City and everywhere is easy to get to by foot. This hotel needs to be closed down for complete refurbishment. They have clearly not invested any time or care in its upkeep for many years.
