Stayed in the Chaucer room with my partner and it was a very nice room. Comfortable bed, very pleasant shower. Breakfast was delicious and the coffee was amazing. Staff were very friendly.

Lovely room at the back of the pub so quiet. Really comfy bed and two bathrooms - one with a beautiful victorian bath! Great breakfast and really friendly, helpful staff! Very homely and great atmosphere!

I had the fish and chips, the food was pleasant and the staff friendly. It was decent value for money.

In all honesty we only stayed one night but it was fantastic. Great bar, delightful room that had crisp and clean bedding, strong shower in large bathroom and even a balcony. Excellent full English breakfast and strong coffee. The bar area was absolutely buzzing in the late evening yet the service was quick but not cheap. The only downside is that it is a taxi ride to Bath town centre but the journey was just 5 minutes.

Nice enough pub and lovely room. Sadly let down though. Without doubt the worst music I have ever heard played in a pub, by multiple staff on different shifts (I can't imagine for the life of me why they would have such a dreadful music policy.). Breakfast (a mass of stodgy pancakes accompanied by a couple of strawberries with greenery and raspberries) was poor and slow to arrive. I would happily stay again, but would avoid the bar and the breakfast.
