Taxi was with us in 5 minutes on the night of a very busy concert. Driver was a good laugh, full of banter and very pleasant. No complaints

This firm doesnt deserve one star!! Phoned the night before to book at taxi for 9am - told them what luggage we had and that we had a small dog. They recommend leaving 45 mins for the journey to the train station - we left 52 to be exact. At 910 we rang and was told they were close, at 915 we rang again and she said 'about 5 mins away' and that they had to wait for a dog friendly car. We cancelled them in desperation. We now have less than half an hour to the train. REALLY ANGRY. Do not use this firm.

Was always a very reliable service. However, I called tonight to order a taxi to a certain address and was told the service was fully booked. Immediately after, my friend called and ordered a taxi for pickup from a house next door and his order was immediately processed. I have never caused the company an issue and was royally screwed over for absolutely no reason. Will probably continue to use the service, but it's horrendous on reliability. They refused a pickup due more-than-likely to location and could not actually have the audacity to say that.

I've booked and called for asap service and never been unhappy. Love how they text you the car model and reg. Number when they've arrived. Makes it easy to find and saves you from waiting outside the while time.

I have used Rainbow City for many years now, and have never had a problem until last night. After finishing work, I bought myself a pizza and called for a taxi. It arrived quickly, however, the driver told me that she would not take me if I had a pizza, as she was "on a diet". She then told me she would leave, and send another taxi to me. I called Rainbow back to ask what was going on, who then told me that it was policy that drivers would not take anybody who had any food or drinks with them, as there was a risk of a £50 fine if there was any spillage. I reiterated that I would not be consuming anything in the taxi, and was told again that a taxi would not take me if I was carrying any food.
I have been in plenty of Rainbow city taxis with food before and it has never been an issue. Usually, the driver will ask me politely not to eat anything in the taxi. But to have somebody drive away because you are carrying a pizza?
Next time I need a taxi home from work I'll be sure not to call Rainbow.
