This Organisation funds a school and orphanage. (we have seen it our selves) enthousiast young guides, volunteers. We did the trail to the lake. Worth while!

Not locally owned, Not all profits are donated to school kids. Not a single local guide, all foreign volunteers. Higher price too. I recommend Mount Verde, give a local guide a job.

Great hiking guide helping kids.
Our guides and group were awesome. The 3 day hike from Xela to Atitlan was amazing. The views, the people, the nature, the villages, it's people, the experience was amazing!
I would highly recommend but make sure you do some cardio for a few months first!

Great organization that leads amazing hikes for a good cause. I did the 2-day trek up Volcán Tajumulco and it was incredible. The guides are the best part, really funny and nice. We had a few guys with us that split up so that everyone could hike at their own pace. The food was also super yummy for camping, and they brought cookies for the summit. If you don't have all the gear you need, Quetzaltrekkers has a whole office filled with extra gear and warm clothes! Would definitely do another hike with these guys :)
