I would highly recommend. It is full of locals, who clearly rate the food, as well they should. You're always concerned places will be a tourist trap and this isn't at all. The food was very good and the service really was excellent. The owner would come around to check everyone was fine and the food was good. Also decorated as you would want from a traditional German place.

One of the best places to eat in Berlin. Even there are many good cafes and restaurants around, but this one offers a very unique (local?)
Prussian food. Service is great, waiters are super nice and helpful, speak few languages and can recommend what to try. We tried few dishes and everything was super tasty (as we expected it to be from local food). Be careful: portions are quite big, starters has a size of a main dish (in Amsterdam standards at least) so we couldn't finish our main course because we were already full. Meet, sausages and local beer are especially good.

What a great meal! Our hotel snagged the last available reservation for us and we're glad they did! This place serves yummy German food with great service in a traditional, warm and welcoming setting. The owner has been running this place for 32+ years and it's like your being taken care of by your sweet grandmother. I had the beef roulade, and we split the smoked eel appetizer. Both were great! Definitely make a reservation if you want to go, because they were turning people away the whole time we were there.

My partner and I had a splendid meal here. We visited on a lovely summer's evening and sat outside. The restaurant is nicely located just off Kurfurstenstrasse, a little bit away from the hustle and bustle, and serves classic German food.
I had the beetroot soup for starter and the pork knuckle for main, both of which were rich and very well cooked. My partner also enjoyed her game stew with potato dumpling. Everything had a great comfort foot vibe, and at a good price. Some other reviewers said the restaurant was expensive, but we thought its prices were about right. Mind you, we live in London so perhaps our view is a little skewed.
Overall it was a great meal we will definitely visit next time we're in Berlin!

One of the best places I've been to in Germany. We ordered stewed pork and hare both were just delicious, the eel and herring were also really good :). Portions are good, I left completely stuffed. The staff were really quick and friendly. The prices were also reasonable considering the quality. A really nice place to go to have a beer and a great meal.
